Good morning, tech folks! ☀️

The much-awaited Apple iPhone 16 SE is here.

But the SE branding has been retired, and now its simply called the iPhone 16e.

In today’s newsletter, we talk about how Apple's new iPhone 16e comes with some key changes, Nintendo's next console hitting China's black market at insane prices, and Chinese GPUs challenging Nvidia's dominance.

Meanwhile, Redmi's planning a gaming tablet with dual everything, and iPhone Pro users are upgrading faster than ever.

The launch of the iPhone 16e marks a new chapter for Apple, but this progress comes with its own sacrifices.

It’s a story of evolution, where the new replaces the old, leaving behind a series of “sacrifices” that reflect a significant shift in Apple’s design philosophy.

Let’s take a closer look at what the iPhone 16e has left behind.

We are nearing the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2, with new rumors and leaks revealing more details every week. But the latest report has shared some interesting news regarding the Switch 2 units hitting the black market in China.

The highly anticipated handheld is already selling in the region with an exorbitant price tag.

Chinese researchers have achieved a groundbreaking performance boost in supercomputing, using domestically developed GPUs.

Their new computing model delivered a nearly tenfold speed improvement compared to Nvidia-powered US supercomputers.

There have been reports that Redmi is working on a gaming-focused tablet for China. Last month, tipster Digital Chat Station shared a few key details about the device.

A new Weibo post by him has revealed additional details about it. According to the leak, the tablet is equipped with dual X-axis linear motors for improved haptic feedback, dual USB-C ports for versatile connectivity, and a dual-speaker setup for immersive audio.

Pro iPhone users are upgrading at a much faster pace than those with base models, and a new report from Counterpoint explains why.

On average, Pro model owners replace their iPhones every 2.75 years, while non-Pro users hold onto their devices for 3.15 years. The difference may not seem huge at first, but in a premium smartphone market where Apple is pushing higher-priced models, it signals a major shift.
