Yesterday, Samsung held a mega launch event to unveil the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones. There were reports earlier that the Galaxy S25 lineup will include a fourth model, dubbed the Galaxy S25 Slim.

However, at the S25 series launch event, the company teased an upcoming phone called the Galaxy S25 Edge, putting an end to rumors about the “Slim” moniker. According to a tipster from Weibo, Chinese smartphone manufacturers are now expected to respond by launching their iterations of ultra-thin phones.

Huawei‘s dominance in the Chinese smartphone market shows no signs of slowing. The company has surpassed Apple and domestic competitors like Xiaomi to claim the top spot in the country’s smartphone market.

And it’s also the number one foldable brand in China.

The company’s next flagship will be the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra, and it looks like the phone will make an even greater impact at launch.

With the Spring Festival fast approaching in China, many brands are working on special editions of their existing phones (Xiaomi 15, Nubia Z70 Ultra) just in time for the Chinese New Year.

On the other hand, Huawei is apparently planning to debut an entirely new foldable phone called the Huawei Pocket 3. Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has shared information regarding the launch timeline of the Pocket 3 smartphone.

Samsung unveiled its latest Galaxy S25 series smartphones at its Unpacked event yesterday, but that wasn’t all the company had in store.

Another major revelation was a tri-fold phone from Samsung. While presenting its roadmap for upcoming devices, the company explicitly revealed that they have a tri-fold planned for launch later.
