New top-end phones are expected to launch soon, starting with Apple introducing the iPhone 17 series on Sept. 9, followed by the Xiaomi 16 series towards the end of the month.

Moreover, a slew of new Android flagships from brands such as Vivo, Oppo, Honor, iQOO, Realme, OnePlus, and Redmi are also anticipated in October.

Alongside the flagship war, this period will also mark the battle of new chipsets that will power these phones.

The upcoming OnePlus 15 marks a major shift in the company’s flagship smartphone strategy.

For years, OnePlus partnered with Hasselblad for tuning the camera systems of its premium devices. However, this might not be the case with the next generation flagship.

To recall, the collaboration between OnePlus and Hasselblad brought a distinct look with improvements in color science and image processing. But a new report from SmartPrix claims that the OnePlus 15 will be the first to break away from this partnership.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 is earning praise for its slimmer, lighter foldable design, but a new wave of user reports suggests not everything is perfect.

Owners have complained about paint chipping — a cosmetic flaw that feels out of place on a device that costs over $2,000.

One user shared photos of paint peeling despite claiming they had “babied” the phone — no drops, no rough handling, no contact with keys or coins. Others quickly chimed in with similar stories.

Tomorrow (Sept. 4), Huawei will introduce the Mate XTs in China as its second tri-foldable phone.

The device is expected to bring incremental upgrades over its predecessor, including features such as stylus support and satellite connectivity.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also preparing to step into the tri-foldable segment. A fresh report from ET News indicates that the company may not wait until the end of the year for its debut.

Realme hasn’t launched a smartwatch in over a year, but it looks like the company is ready to make a comeback with the Realme Watch 5.

The new smartwatch has been revealed in a leak from Sudhanshu Ambhore (via XpertPick). The leak includes polished marketing shots and what appears to be a full spec sheet of the wearable.

So the Watch 5 features a 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a 390 x 450 resolution. Its brightness peaks at 600 nits, enough for outdoors.
