Hello,

Its mid-week already, and we have a bunch of interesting news updates in this edition of our newsletter from Xiaomi, Huawei, and even Apple.

šŸ”„ Donā€™t miss out on the headlines from yesterday!

  • Delivery times for Xiaomiā€™s EV could get better in the coming months. šŸ˜€

We know Xiaomiā€™s SUV is the talk of the town over the past one week. But its not all hype as the company is also getting a significant amount of orders every day. So much so that the delivery times have extended to up to 7 months and people are ready to test drive the vehicle even at 3 AM!
But there might be some respite on the way, as Xiaomi is all set to increase production to 10,000 units per month. A pretty impressive figure for a smartphone company pivoting into the complicated EV industry!

  • Redmiā€™s next flagship could have 16GB of RAM! šŸ¤Æ

We recently learned that the Redmi Turbo 3 would likely feature the Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor. While that would have boosted the phoneā€™s processing capabilities, a Geekbench listing of the upcoming device yesterday further revealed that the model could feature a whopping 16GB of RAM onboard!

  • You could probably squeeze the next Apple Pencil for more features šŸ¤Ø

Remember the Edge Squeeze function (Active Edge) on the older Pixel models? The latest reports suggest the Apple Pencil 3 would have a similar ā€œSqueezeā€œ gesture that would offer additional editing options.
This would be a major upgrade over the existing Pencil 2 model, which only detects pressure on the tip, not the body.

  • Google is finally deleting your data from incognito mode! šŸ˜–

A privacy lawsuit has forced Google to purge billions of records containing personal information from over 136 million Chrome web browsers, including data from incognito mode. This settles a lawsuit that accused the search giant of illegal surveillance.

  • $6 million iPhone fraud lands man in jail for four years! šŸ«

A US man who exploited Appleā€™s customer satisfaction policy using fake iPhones and iPads has been sentenced to over four years in prison. Zhiwei ā€œAllenā€ Liao, along with his accomplices, ran a scheme that defrauded Apple of millions. Liaoā€™s network imported counterfeit Apple products from China and attached genuine Apple serial numbers to them.
It was actually a pretty smart fraud, but unsurprisingly, he and his team were eventually caught.

  • Will there be a Redmi Car? šŸš—

I guess after seeing how people are going crazy over the Xiaomi EV, it was only a matter of time before someone asked if Redmi was entering the market, with a cheaper offering.
Well, Redmiā€™s GM dismissed any plans for an affordable EV from the brand anytime soon, but urged fans to support the Xiaomi EV so that the brand becomes big enough to release more models.

  • China moves a step ahead in AI - Alipay launches a comprehensive AI powered medical assistant šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€āš•ļø

AI is taking over every industry but in China, the adoption seems to be very quick. Alipay, one of the biggest tech giants in China, announced its comprehensive AI Medical Assistant yesterday. This innovative tool, uses AI large models and digital human technology, like virtual avatars, to change the way you meet your doctor and visit hospitals.
