Last month, Huawei launched its latest Pura 70 flagships with a new Kirin 9010 chip. While the SoC shares a similar manufacturing process and core architecture with the Kirin 9000s, Huawei has optimized it further to deliver performance in their latest smartphones.

A new rumor suggests that the company is working on yet another Kirin chip, likely for the Mate 70 series smartphones.

The rumor comes from the Weibo tipster @DirectorShiGuan, who revealed that Huawei has well-reformed its upcoming Kirin chip for the Mate 70 series, and it performs comparatively well in benchmarks.
