Samsung is getting hit with a sizeable tax penalty in India after failing to pay the government over import tariffs.

The Indian government has levied the massive fine for failing to pay these duties on both the company and the senior executives.

Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Y. Lee met with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun at Xiaomi’s Beijing EV factory this week, which is a significant development that could reshape the electric vehicle supply chain.
