A 9000mAh battery could be coming to a Redmi phone, if only we knew which one

Good morning, tech folks! ☀️ Happy Monday!

We’re starting the week with a wild story — someone in Bengaluru ordered a $2,000 Galaxy Z Fold 7, but when they opened the box, they found… a floor tile. Thankfully, the buyer recorded the entire unboxing, saving themselves from a very expensive mistake.

Big-ticket smartphone orders always come with a bit of excitement — and a bit of anxiety — but one Bengaluru buyer’s Diwali week surprise turned into something far stranger than anyone could have expected.

What was supposed to be a brand-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 ended up being… a piece of floor tile. And the only reason the buyer isn’t out $2,000 today is because he recorded the unboxing from start to finish.

Recently, Huawei’s latest small foldable phone, the Nova Flip S, went on sale in China. During the launch, the company did not reveal the name of the chip that powers the device.

As per a report by MyDrivers, the phone was spotted through performance detection software, which revealed its chipset details. Now we know that the Huawei Nova Flip S is powered by the Kirin 8000 processor.

Samsung has partnered with Pearson to address focus and attention challenges that affect both children and adults. The result of this collaboration is Revibe, an AI-powered wearable app for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 that helps users improve focus, attention, and self-regulation skills.

Revibe takes advantage of the Galaxy Watch’s built-in sensors to monitor on-task behavior, fidgeting, work completion, and physical activity. Based on this data, it provides gentle reminders.

Right now, smartphones are kinda strange. Every phone that calls itself a “flagship” always puts most of its focus on the camera.

So if you’re someone who doesn’t really care that much about photography, but still wants the rest of that flagship-level experience, well… You basically have no choice but to pay for those expensive camera systems anyway.

So the big question: Is there a phone that has all the flagship features but uses the extra space from the camera to do something different, something surprising?

Turns out there is, the Redmi K90 Pro Max!

A new report out of China suggests Redmi might be gearing up to launch a phone with one of the largest batteries on a mainstream smartphone.

According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, a certain brand has finalized a 9,000mAh single-cell silicon battery that supports 100W fast charging. Even more ambitious, the company is reportedly testing a 10,000 mAh version in its labs. The leak doesn’t name which brand is behind the project, but a Chinese outlet believes it could be Redmi.
