Good morning, folks!

Vivo has just unveiled the X100 Ultra, X100s, and X100s Pro in China. As the name implies, the Ultra is the highest-end model in the collection, including flagship-grade cameras.

One of the biggest highlights of the Ultra is the 200MP 1/1.14-inch HP9 periscope telephoto lens with a focal length of 85mm. We haven’t seen such a large persicope lens yet, so we are excited to see how it performs in real life.

More details on the Vivo X100 Ultra are here. If you want to know about the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, read our launch story here.

A fresh new leak about the Huawei Mate 70 series suggests major improvements in performance thanks to an alleged “super core” Kirin chip. Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu claims that the new Kirin SoC could elevate the Mate 70 to the top ranks in terms of performance.

The exact nature of the “super core” remains unclear. It’s possible Huawei might implement a revamped core configuration within the Kirin chip, specifically for the Mate 70.

Rumors suggested for quite some time that Google was about to unveil a more compact Pro model: the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. While we can’t call it “official” yet, a leaks reveal hands-on images of the upcoming Pixel series.

The introduction of two distinct Pro models isn’t entirely unprecedented, as Apple has been following a similar strategy with its iPhones, releasing “Pro” and “Pro Max” models that boast superior camera hardware.
